Living London

The striking pink, grey and white exterior of the Living in London estate agent office on St John's Hill, always catches my eye as I drive past - it is apparent that this is an agent with a difference.   Not constrained by the corporate shades of some of their larger competitors, Stuart the managing director, says he is glad to run a truly independent agency, as it means he and his team can tailor their personal service to each of their customers individual needs. A young father, school governor and local resident himself, Stuart opened the St John's Hill office in May 2005, adding a second agency to group, the first of which has been doing good business in Canada Water, Surrey Keys for 8 years. The Battersea team are led by Caroline the Office manager and Alex the Lettings manager; they tell me that although they sell many local properties, it is the Lettings side of the business which keeps them the most busy. Alex and Stuart assure me that they will only supply their landlords with quality tenants, all of whom visit the office to meet with the team before their tenancy agreements are signed. Stuart and his team say they really enjoy the community feel of St John's Hill - especially being made to feel so welcome when they first opened the agency; now it is the Living in London team who welcome new business owners to the Hill.
